The End

The trip is over but it was great while it lasted. Daisy the tour guide packed so much interesting stuff into our time away. I didn't really expect to like Miami very much. I feel like it's gotten a bad rap! It was, for the most part clean and lovely. The skyline is beautiful and the view from all of those towering condos must be breathtaking. Miami beach was (sorry to say) much more inviting than our usual destination, Daytona Beach. And South Beach is much more than clubs and crazy nightlife; it's rich with history and art deco design after my own heart. The language barrier did bother me a bit. Since Daisy could "do the talking" in challenging circumstances I didn't have to struggle, but without her it would have been hard to carry on business in some situations. Despite this I have gained a greater respect for the Cuban culture and even discovered that I like Cuban food. Traffic, on the other hand, was horrible. I won't be moving to Miami, but I am so happy to have finally visited there. Thanks for following my blog!
