This is where you go to be on top of the world...at least in the eastern US. This is the view from Mount Mitchell, it's the highest point east of the Mississippi. Though the forecast threatened rain, we had a lovely day to make the climb (mostly by car of course).
John and I are going to the land of geysers, waterfalls, canyons, mountains and lakes. We'll be roaming with the wildlife who spend most of their year without tourists. We will be in their home. We'll be exploring the handiwork of God up close and from high peaks. Wifi has not invaded much of this land, but we will post when we can.
