On the road to Arkansas we stopped at Kermit the Frog's birthplace, Leland, MS. That's because it's the boyhood home of Jim Henson. The Kermit museum is on the banks of Deer Creek where Jim caught frogs. There was a wonderful collection of all things Muppet, as well as a knowledgeable museum worker. Here's some trivia...Jim's major in college was home economics...he wanted to learn how to work with fabrics to create his lovable characters!
