Up at the crack of dawn...yeah...literally...BEFORE sunrise. We watched the sun come up at Red Rock State Park. For a little while we could see the moon as it finished its daily shift. It was 34 degrees so we hung out for a while in the car and the visitor's center to let the sun do its warming thing. Such extremes here. By midmorning it was balmy and in the high 60's again. That's when we set out on our hike.
