That night we all converged on Meg and Dani's little apartment. It was filled with people, dogs and love! It was compact as are most things here, but completely functional. The restaurant was rich with wood paneling, with a warm atmosphere. I'm learning that each meal is an event to savor. We weren't ready to part yet even though it was close to midnight, so we moved the gang a block over to the Cadillac Bar. (Do I hear gasping from those who know me well?) Actually most bars here are really more like restaurants. This one had sentimental value as well because Sara and Megan came here with their new Spanish friends on their first visit. I think we left at 2am! Staying up late isn't unusual for me, but John is getting pretty good at it too.

The Cadillac is quite similar to bars that I recall and it is not the only time that Mary & I have been in a "bar" together, though it has been a very long time. It was a a very enjoyable time!
