Soller

The view as we went clickety clacking along was breathtaking. Small villages nestled in valleys guarded by the hulking giants of the Tramuntana mountains.

As an appetizer before our lunch in Soller we had cold beet soup...quite daring for us. Thumbs up.

But the craziest thing happened on our way to lunch. Walking down a crowded street barely wide enough for a car, a local man stopped us and said, "Nice to see you again!" John and I looked at him, then each other confused. There was something familiar about him, but it was like when you see the cashier from Publix some where else. He read our faces and said, "It's me, Tony!" Then it hit us...the family from the plane! He just happened to be outside looking for old friends in his hometown while his wife was in a store shopping. He got her and it was like old friends united. Since they weren't there, Kirsten kept saying, "The kids won't believe this." So she took a picture as proof.

John and I had mentioned them on the train, saying wouldn't be funny if we saw them?

After this I feel like we are really meant to stay in touch.

Before leaving them at the airport a comment was made about looking out for each other while in Soller! It was so cool to have him recognize us.
