The Wedding

The wedding was a wonderful mix of Spanish traditions and modern touches. One tradition (if the wedding is outside of town) is to rent a bus for the invitees  to and from the wedding. That's how we got there. The Pratt family, including Megan, came by taxi! It's so different here.

The ceremony  started with a Spanish love ballad sung similar to the Flamenco show and Ave Maria. Then Alan walked Megan down the isle and gave her to Dani. Since they were already technically married, they didn't repeat their vows. Instead boths Moms came up and poured one mixed glass of wine from their American and Spanish bottles. Then a friend of theirs who was in the group when Meg and Dani first met, told their love story. It was totally in Spanish, so before starting he kindly welcomed us in English and thanked us for coming. Glasses of champagne were passed out to the crowd, and we toasted to their union.

The rest if the night was spent eating, drinking, laughing and dancing. Their were 2 scheduled bus pickup times - late and later :)
We didn't want to miss a thing so we chose the 4am bus! I joked that John used to get up at 4 for work, but now he's staying up that late!

This is just "one" of many pictures taken during this time together.
Megan requested several people to take as many pictures as possible and we did our part to assist!
