Hoover Dam

First stop today? Arizona! We took the new bridge (just opened Oct 2010) that spans the Colorado River just below the Hoover Dam, and found 2 caches there. It was an extra 15 miles past the dam, but the views along the way made it so worth it.

Since the bridge offers an incredible view of the dam, they constructed it with super high sides to elminate the rubber-necking factor. Instead you can park at the base of it, climb the stairs and walk across!

The dam was impressive and it's backdrop spectacular.
