We really enjoyed a tour of this unusual arts & crafts house, custom built by brothers who had a huge impact on Flagstaff history. It was really 2 large homes joined in the middle by a common room...sort of a massive duplex. Each wing housed a brother and his family. The interiors were unique to the families, but both had a swing room (huge living area with a double swing that could either face a massive fireplace or picture window). Although quite wealthy, they had started from humble beginnings and never forgot. Their servants had bedrooms and indoor plumbing just like the family. They started schools and libraries, giving back to the community.
