Palma Arrival

Our last leg brought us safely to Palma. We sat with a most interesting family. The father was raised on the island (family owned farm for generations) but his wife is Australian, and that is where they live. Two great kids, 9 and 12. They were coming for a wedding! Took them 52 hours! The older kid, Cecilia and I have decided to be penpals.

But the bad news is that one of our bags is still traveling. They assured me it would be delivered to our apartment promptly when found. I wished I'd listened to the wisdom of Laura and packed half our clothes in each bag, but we have what we need for now. Enrique is just as I expected!

I've been using my Spanish! Asking questions and casually commenting to total strangers! I feel a little like Daisy:)

So glad you're safe! Bummer on the bag - I shall learn from your experience for sure! I totally knew your spanish would be a breeze.
