Pozo de Jacinto

This large hole in the rugged coastline near Isabella on the northern coast, was named after Jacinto. The story goes that one of his cows wandered off and fell in - poor cow. The turbulent waters below surge up and burst through the opening. A power-of-nature moment that is mesmorizing. The terrain is hard and the points sticking up are jagged and sharp. It's like petrofied sand castles. The water is a sapphire blue. And this is PR...there are no safety rails to mar the view. You are responsible for yourself! But don't let the first photo of Sara scare you, the bridge of land she is on is a good 20 feet wide.
