Montezuma Castle

Not a castle and didn't belong to Montezuma, but this very old cliff dwelling was a sight to behold. Being WAY up high certainly protected it from enemies, but how the heck did they get up and down and built such a beautiful place?

On our trip up from Phoenix there weren't many trees, so the lovely Arizona Sycamores at Montezuma's were especially appreciated.
